Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was an American poet. Evidence suggests that Dickinson lived much of her life in isolation. Considered an eccentric by locals, she developed a penchant for white clothing and was known for her reluctance to greet guests or, later in life, to even leave her bedroom. Dickinson never married, and most friendships between her and others depended entirely upon correspondence.
We come from 34 countries, many of which are rarely represented in a startup. We're single moms, widows, college professors, recovering addicts, Zen teachers, Fulbright scholars, and everything in between. 83% of our founding members and contributors are women. One of our mentors is 99 and was a close personal friend of Abraham Maslow, Martin Buber, and Erich Fromm.
